›The Neon‹ Tour

Infos zu Erasure

Erasure is Vince Clark and Vince Clark is Erasure. The musical career of the English synthesizer and sequencer specialist began with a completely different band. Clark was one of the founding members of Depeche Mode and composed the first hits of the synth rock band. But Clark left Depeche Mode in 1981 and after a few short projects he found the voice for his new project in Andy Bell in 1985.

In the same year the duo released their first single Who needs Love like That, which became a hit in British discotheques. In 1986, just one year later, Erasure released his first longplayer Wonderland. The album also included the single L'Amour. The song found enthusiastic listeners, especially in Germany and France. In South Africa, Erasure even made it into the top ten charts. The first real commercial success was their fourth single Sometimes, which took them to number two in the German and English charts. Their five further albums The Circus (1987), The Innocents (1988), Wild! (1989), Chorus (1991), I Say I Say I Say (1994) each reached number one in the English album charts and made Erasure one of the most successful British bands ever.

Their current album The Neon was released on August 21, 2020.
