Sabaton

Sabaton are undoubtedly one of the most important bands on the modern metal scene. The Swedes have been working their way steadily upwards with great confidence since their formation in 1999, which is impressively proven by the five Metal Hammer Golden Gods Awards (including best live band in three different years) and several nominations for the Swedish equivalent of the Grammy Awards, the Grammys. In 2016, "The Last Stand" debuted at #1 in three different European countries and cracked the Top 3 in four more. Brodén, Sundström, Chris Rörland (guitars), Hannes van Dahl (drums) and Tommy Johansson (guitars) also host their own festival, Sabaton Open Air, which was launched in 2008, as well as their own Sabaton Cruise, which has been future-oriented since 2009. Their latest album "The Great War", released in 2019, reached the Top 10 in 11 countries, including number one placements in Germany, Sweden and Switzerland.
