K.I.Z.

Rap über Hass

Infos zu K.I.Z.

Three MC's and one DJ. That's all it takes to make good hiphop. The Beastie Boys already sensed this, and cast this simple insight into a musical statement. Like them the cannibals in civilian clothes or briefly: K.I.Z.

Rapper Tarek Ebéné, Max Drüner and Nico Seryfried as well as DJ Craft were signed in 2005 by Markus Staiger, the then head of the Berlin HippHop/Rap label Royal Bunker, and started to leave their footprints in the German speaking HipHop landscape. The stylistic devices used in their raps by the trio, who have been performing without DJ Craft since 2018, are unmistakable from the very beginning: irony, a lot of cynicism and a rough pinch of provocation. And K.I.Z. are not afraid of dealing with bulky topics like sexism, racism, discrimination or daily politics with their unmistakable style.

The numbers of their 6 studio albums so far show that this works. Their album "Hurra, die Welt geht unter", released in 2015, not only convinced critics but also listeners on their stationary and mobile devices. In Germany and Switzerland, the album climbed to number one in the LP charts with its absurdities and clever humor. Its sixth album is "Und das Geheimnis der unbegleichenen Bordellrechnung" (And the secret of the unpaid brothel bill), released in December 2020. For 2021 the band has already announced the follow-up album as well as the accompanying toour: "Rap über Hass".
