Sunrise Avenue

The Finnish rock band was founded in 1992 by Samu Harber and Jan Hohenthal. In 2002 the group changed their name to Sunrise Avenue, as there were already eleven other bands in Scandinavia called 'Sunrise'.

"Fairytale Gone Bad" has changed everything. This song made Sunrise Avenue superstars almost overnight. So since 2006 the Finns are no more than the top positions in the single and album charts.

Their album "On The Way To Wonderland" made it to number 12 of the charts in Germany. Also the successor "Popgasm" cracked the Top20. With the following longplayer "Out Of Style" Sunrise Avenue finally established themselves in the pop and rock scene. 6th place in Germany.

The good sales figures had their positive side: Countless platinum and gold records, three Emma Awards, lots of other nominations for international awards like the ECHO or the MTV Europe Music Awards, sold out tours all over Europe and more than one million units of their five longplayers sold worldwide so far.
